CHEESE CORN BALLS

Cheese corn balls is a yummy cheesy snack loved equally by kids and elders both. It's a nice snack for parties which can be prepared and kept in the fridge prior to the party.

INGREDIENTS

2-3 boiled potatoes
1/2 cup boiled corn (I used frozen sweet corn)
1/2 cup processed cheese (grated)
2-3 flakes of garlic crushed or grated
1/2 tea spoon dried oregano
1/2 tea spoon dried basil
1/2 tea spoon black pepper
salt to taste
2 table spoons chopped green coriander leaves
3-4 table spoons corn flour or maida
2 table spoons bread crumbs

METHOD

1. Boil potatoes. Let them cool. Once cooled grate them.
2. Take water in a pan. Bring it to a boil. Add the frozen corn and let them boil for 3-4 minutes.
3. Drain the corn and let them cool completely. Drain them well they should be dry.
4. In a bowl add the grated potato, add chopped green coriander.
5. Add grated cheese, keep some aside to fill in the centre.
6. Add boiled and cooled corn.
7. Add dried basil, dried oregano, black pepper and salt. Be careful while adding salt as cheese also contains salt.
8. Add maida or corn flour and bread crumbs.
9. Mix everything very well.
10. Shape them in medium sized balls. Flatten them a bit and add grated cheese in between.
11. Bring it together from sides and shape it like a ball. I usually flatten them a bit while making.
12. You can do it till this step and store them in the fridge to be fried at the time of serving.
13. At the time of serving. Heat oil in a kadai. Add a small bit to check the temperature of oil. Once the oil is hot enough, put the flame to medium
14. Add the balls one by one in the hot oil. Fry 3-4 at a time for even cooking or add according to the size of your kadai.
15. Once it turns light brown from one side, flip it over and let it brown from the other side too.
16. Drain them on a kitchen paper towel. Serve hot.

The ones below are the baked version of the same recipe.
I baked them at 180 degrees for 10 minutes and then flipped them over and baked them again for 7 minutes.
